About Me

Hola, Bonjour, привет and hello!

Thanks for visiting!

By the age of 22, I had spent basically the entirety of life so far in education. I had loved it, but I was desperate to see more of the world; I wanted the opportunity to explore places and countries I’d only ever read about in history books or seen on TV. The thought of ending up in a job that allowed neither travel, nor time to satisfy my passion for history, was stressful to me.

Once I graduated, that’s exactly where I ended up – in a job totally unrelated to my interests and without any scope to achieve my travelling dreams. I was unhappy and unfulfilled, but then the opportunity to apply for work as air crew came up.

To be honest, I wasn’t initially enthusiastic about it. The job was a far cry from my academic skills and background, and I didn’t feel like I’d fit in. Not to mention I was afraid of flying. But I got to travel, and after some serious persuasion, I applied for and got the position. Suddenly, at 23, the entire world opened up to me.

Working as crew was actually a really wonderful experience and it prompted me to share with others my experiences of travel and the crew lifestyle that goes with it, in the hope that I can inspire them to explore more of the world too. Cue: this website!

So, here I’ll be sharing some of the incredible places I’ve had the pleasure of visiting – from Europe to the far East. And this is alongside some (hopefully) insightful accounts of what life is like in the jetstream as crew.

I am a busy body and love dipping my fingers in all the pies. So, if I’m not travelling, hiking or exploring, I am working in the education sector or writing historical articles. If you’re interested in learning more about my work, head over to the ‘History’ page!

If you have any questions, or would like to collaborate in some way, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
